Privacy Policy for Drema

Drema helps parents record their baby's sleeps and breastfeeding. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, where it is stored and who can see it. In short: your records stay on your devices and in your own iCloud account, and we do not collect your history.

Information Stored on Your Devices

The app stores the records you create:

• Sleeps: the start and end time of each sleep.
• Feedings: when each breastfeeding started and ended, and which breast was used for how long (left, right, or both in turn).

It also stores your settings, such as theme, vibration, sounds, Live Activity preferences and whether feeding is shown in widgets. This information is kept locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch and is used only to show timers, summaries, statistics, widgets and the Live Activity.

The app does not ask for your name, your baby's name, date of birth, location, contacts, photos or health data.

iCloud Sync

If you are signed in to iCloud, your sleep and feeding records are synced through Apple's CloudKit service and stored in the private database of your own iCloud account. This lets your iPhone and Apple Watch, and any other device signed in with the same Apple ID, show the same history. The developer has no access to your private iCloud data.

iCloud is provided by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. If you are not signed in to iCloud, your records stay only on your device.

Family Sharing

You can invite another parent to share sleeps and feedings. Sharing uses Apple's iCloud sharing:

• Each family is a separate shared space in the iCloud account of the person who created it. Only records from the moment the other parent joins are shared. Neither parent's earlier history is shared with the other.
• The invitation is a link. Anyone who has the link can join the family, so send it only to the person you want to invite. The creator of the family can see the participants, remove any of them, or stop sharing at any time from the app's Settings; after that the link no longer works.
• Any participant can leave the family at any time. When a family ends, every parent keeps the records from the shared period in their own history.

To make instant updates possible (see below), the app also stores a random family code in the shared iCloud data. Only family members can read it.

Instant Updates Between Family Devices

When one parent starts or ends a sleep or a feeding, Drema notifies the other family members' iPhones right away, so their Live Activity, widgets and app update without waiting for iCloud. This is done through a small server operated by the developer and hosted on Cloudflare, which sends notifications via Apple Push Notification service.

What the server stores

• A random identifier of the app installation (not linked to your identity).
• Push notification tokens issued by Apple for your device, the app's Live Activity and its widgets, and whether the app is a test or a public build.
• A one-way hash of the family code, used to group the devices of one family. The family code is sent with each request to prove family membership, but it is never stored — only its hash is.
• Your Live Activity preference ("always", "only during sleep" or "off").
• The family's current status only, overwritten with every update: whether the baby is asleep or awake and since what time, which breast was used last, and — while a feeding is going on — when it started, which breast is in use and since when, as well as when the last feeding ended. This lets the other family members' Live Activity and widgets show the current status. No earlier records are kept.
• The time the records above were last updated.

The server does not receive your name, Apple ID, email address, location or your sleep and feeding history. Short-lived technical logs kept by the hosting provider for troubleshooting may contain the current status and are deleted automatically within a few days. Tokens that Apple reports as no longer valid are deleted automatically.

Apple Watch

The Apple Watch app exchanges sleep and feeding records directly with your paired iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework, and also syncs through your iCloud account as described above. No other services are involved.

Siri, Shortcuts, Widgets and Live Activities

You can mark sleep with Siri, the Shortcuts app, the Action Button, Control Centre, widgets, the Live Activity, NFC automations and the Apple Watch, and start, switch and finish a feeding from the Feeding widget and the Apple Watch. These features are provided by iOS and watchOS; the app only receives the request to perform the action. Voice requests are processed by Apple according to Apple's privacy practices.

App Store Ratings

The app may occasionally show Apple's standard prompt to rate it in the App Store. The prompt is provided by Apple; the app does not learn whether or how you rated it.

Children's Privacy

Drema is intended for parents and caregivers. It does not collect personal information from children and does not ask for any information that identifies a child.

Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone. Information is processed only by Apple (iCloud, push notifications, Siri, App Store) and Cloudflare (hosting of the notification server) as described in this policy, and only to provide the app's features.

Deleting Your Data

• Delete individual sleeps and feedings in the app's Statistics screen.
• Deleting the app removes the data stored on that device.
• To delete the data synced to iCloud, open Settings on your iPhone → your name → iCloud → Manage Account Storage (or Manage Storage) → Drema.
• To stop sharing with another parent, use Settings → Family in the app.
• To have the notification server's records for your device or family removed, contact us at the email below.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally. Any changes will be published on this page. You are encouraged to review this policy periodically to stay informed of any updates.
